5 Ways to Overcome Nausea During Pregnancy to Stay Comfortable in Activities

1. Adjust your diet

If previously pregnant women often eat in large enough portions, now try to eat small portions but more often. This diet can be a way to deal with nausea during pregnancy.

In determining the type of food, choose foods that are high in carbohydrates and low in fat, such as brown rice and crackers.

2. Avoid foods that can trigger nausea

3. Avoid lying down immediately after eating

Lying down after eating can cause acid in the stomach to rise, causing nausea. Therefore, wait at least 1 hour after eating if you want to lie down.

4. Get enough rest time

Changes that occur during pregnancy can make pregnant women easily feel tired, especially if they still have to work. This condition can trigger or worsen complaints of nausea.

The way to deal with nausea during pregnancy due to fatigue is to get enough rest. In addition, if pregnant women feel tired, don't force yourself to do activities, okay?

5. Relax

Relaxing can also be one way to deal with nausea during pregnancy. There are several relaxation techniques that pregnant women can try, from taking deep breaths and exhaling slowly, to doing meditation or yoga for pregnant women.

In addition, light exercise, walking around the room or house, listening to music, and doing massage during pregnancy are also considered effective for dealing with nausea. Pregnant women can also inhale the aroma of essential oils using a diffuser to relieve complaints of nausea during pregnancy.
